On a personal note

I believe food is medicine and I eat healthier than ever before. My two daughters are my biggest motivations to find the healthiest food options for the family, although I also care about preparing enjoyable meals; and of course, I will let them have the occasional piece of cake or ice cream.

I’m very committed to my patients, who I treat as if they were family when it comes to providing medical advice. I like to go the extra mile and help them feel less anxious about their medical problems.

The breaking point on wanting to become a Healthy Cooking Coach (Culinary Health Education Fundamentals Coach or CHEF Coach) was when my youngest daughter developed a less common type of milk allergy. I struggled tremendously to survive the immediate postpartum months, needing to follow a rigorous elimination diet without really understanding the practical aspects that imply living with food allergies, despite “being an allergist!”. The sleep deprivation and the stress did not do any good. I think mothers who go through such hurdles need special help and I believe in my new practice I can now offer that help.
